SMS'80 FOUNDATION OBJECTIVES
- To be and act as an interacting platform for the 1980 alumni of School of Management Studies, Cochin University of Science and Technology.
- To foster professional networking amongst the SMS alumni, for mutual benefit in academic, professional, social and/or business areas, in a measure of mutuality.
- Extending support to the SMS alumni through such networks
- Assisting students of the SMS through grants, scholarships and prizes towards assistance in academics, placement and/ or any other area(s) as appropriate
- To promote recreational, cultural, educational and welfare activities such as fine arts, library facilities for the benefit of the members and students of SMS.
- To facilitate and encourage alumni to contribute to the efforts of SMS for achieving excellence in academics and research through allocating / raising funds and sharing knowledge & expertise of its members in areas pertaining to academics, infrastructure, industry interactions and any other area that the alumni and the SMS feel appropriate.
- To charge and receive fees from the members who avail of the facilities of the Society and to charge for all the services that may be rendered by the Society at such rates as may be determined from time to time by the Managing Committee
- To raise funds by way of contributions, charges and subscriptions and voluntary donations from the members and others and to invest the same as appropriate and/ or to utilize the same for stated purpose(s)
